The article discusses the ways that can help business enterprises carry out successful implementation of sales training towards their sales staff in the U.S. The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) has conducted a survey which aims at evaluating the practices carried out by 11 companies which affects the learning and development of their salesforce. It shows that money and the utilization of business models and metrics play a significant role in analyzing the implications of learning and development to sales training programs. It was found that appropriate allocation of funds and the use of the right strategies to sales training can help enhance the skills and competitiveness of salespeople in the business.
