The learning field has its fair share of myths. Consider beliefs such as people have different learning styles, intelligence is fixed, humans use only 10 percent of their brains, and the early years of child development are more important for learning than any other period. Those are all pervasive myths about learning that sound plausible or reasonable. Yet, none derives from any evidence about how people actually learn.
