Kineo's Stream of Thought podcast provides valuable insights to the L&D community, particularly for people who work within learning tech. The roundtable discussion takes place once a month, and each episode is about 30 minutes long. Previously hosted by solutions consultant Paul Westlake, the informal chat has since been passed off to a rotation of other Kineo employees.
In episode 21, for example, James Cory-Wright, Kineo's head of learning, hosts a trio of subject matter experts in a conversation about blended learning. They define it as a mix of techniques that always includes some element of online and face-to-face learning. They also note that ownership plays a major role in the success or failure of blended learning. The challenge with blended learning, they explain, is that often the creator within each medium develops content independently and doesn't collaborate, which makes it difficult to keep a consistent message that continues to build upon itself. Learning consultant Mark Harrison suggests that the concept in itself may even be archaic and that we should simply focus on how to deliver content most effectively, whether it's blended or not.
Other episodes include "Breaking Down Barriers to Workplace Learning," "Elearning for All," and "How Can We Tap Into AI for Learning Experiences?"
