The article reports on the various factors that affects the declining number of women serving as executive leaders in business organizations. It was inferred that access of women employees to proper mentoring is significant which will enable them to achieve executive positions in the company. According to a research conducted, several misconceptions arise in the workplace that hinders women of achieving leadership position in corporations. They include a comparison on the leadership styles between women and men where gender stereotyping is common in the workplace. In addition, the lack of self-confidence and fear of women to ask for opportunities also prevents them of reaching to executive level.
