The Reality of Virtual and Augmented Reality

In 2017, I could have been one of the first instructional designers in the US to create a course for academia that incorporated augmented reality. The university offered a bachelor's degree in fire science, and I worked with a subject matter expert—a faculty member who also was a battalion chief in a major city—to redesign an introductory arson investigation course.
