The article discusses the authors' reflection on positive organizational psychology that centers on innate strengths as a key to development. The authors believe that the problem in defining people's strengths lies in the tools employed. They assert that these tools adopt self-knowledge and are easily manipulated but they only measure a small aspect of the person's total personal effectiveness. The authors enumerated a list of natural abilities that are reliable and capable of isolation including intuitive and logical problem solving, idea productivity, visual and spatial relations theory, musical abilities and pitch discrimination and more.
