Though the startup community proudly brandishes the term fail fast, I don't know anyone who sets out to do so at the outset of a project. Failure means loss of time and money and often loss of trust with users and stakeholders. With such high stakes, it's no wonder that instructional designers and learning developers are moving toward more lean and agile methods.
