Your organization has ambitious goals for growth: more impact, more innovation, better results. Yet research suggests few companies operate as true learning- or growth-oriented cultures. In a comprehensive analysis of the cultures of more than 230 companies, the authors of The Leader's Guide to Corporate Culture found that a learning orientation (the closest match to a growth culture) appears as a primary or secondary style in only 7 percent of companies.
