The article reports that Wipro Technologies has developed a training initiative for project managers in order to offset cost overruns in multiple fixed-price projects. The training is in form of various courses that are named as "path finder." The training has been made mandatory for all project managers, by company chairman. The training was attended by more than 1,000 project managers. It brought positive results and raised the productivity by 12 percent, compared with 2005. The company has also launched a future management program for its frontline supervisors.
