In 1959 Peter Drucker coined the term "knowledge worker" to describe employees whose main skill was handling or using information. Now, in an era of unsurpassed information growth, the ability to learn is more prized than possessing knowledge of a fixed topic. In a blog post titled "From Knowledge Worker to Learning Worker," learning technologies expert Jane Hart writes, "It means that it is no longer about knowing stuff; but continuously learning stuff."
