Employers will host apprentices for 12 months and provide on-the-job training and mentorship to jump-start participants' careers. Checkr will partner with entities such as global nonprofit Catalyst; the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development's TechSF initiative, which prepares workers for technology careers with no-cost career pathing and skills-based training; and the Last Mile, which provides education and training as part of its incarceration-to-employment program. To help offset the costs of hosting apprentices, Checkr will also offer financial support to participating employers.
