Unconscious bias, cultural misunderstanding, language differences, and communication errors often undermine performance in today's diverse organizations. Fortunately, we can learn to understand others despite our differences, and improve our ability to share our messages across these differences. This is particularly important for trainers, facilitators, and speakers who must build strong connections with a diverse audience to have the desired impact on learning and performance. In this session, the speakers will describe four types of noise that can have a negative impact on your presentations. You'll also learn how to apply platform skills to effectively manage proxemics and kinesics, take steps to better understand the diversity of your audience, use inclusive language, and articulate your message in a way that resonates more powerfully with participants.
