Too many approach emotional intelligence (EQ) in a report-centric way in which low scores are bad and high scores are desired. A better approach to EQ is paying more attention to blending EQ behaviors to balance effort in one direction with some attention in another---always considering the time, place, and context of the situation. You mix a cocktail; a little of this and little of that blended to support a subtle but pleasing result. Behavioral change should be treated the same way. This session is open to all learners, regardless of their EQ experience (or lack thereof). It is designed to introduce and explore five areas of emotional intelligence, within which blends and balance are keys to success.
