The challenge to deliver good-quality training to an increasingly geographically dispersed workforce is growing. At the same time, training departments are being asked to do more with less, so outsourcing training or purchasing off-the-shelf programs seems appealing. How do you straddle these seemingly conflicting goals? This session will provide specific questions to ask and considerations to make when selecting outsourced and off-the-shelf training. Tactics for building an effective, four-level training evaluation plan for outside training content will be explained. Armed with this information, you will be able to integrate outsourced training into a training and evaluation plan that works for your organization. You will also receive a job aid and supplementary materials to assist you in applying these ideas in your work.
