Mr. Sánchez is currently an Associate with the ROI Institute. He is also working as a Research Associate helping to evaluate a local NARCH grant using an Appreciative Inquiry methodology.

Mr. Sánchez is also a six year veteran Instructional Designer and Project Manager for the Learning and Communications Solutions (LCS) group within Northrop Grumman Technical Services. He has worked in academia and for domestic and foreign government clients. Mr. Sánchez specializes in Instructional Systems Design and face-to-face and online training development and facilitation. In addition, he brings a variety of graphic and web design skills to the table. He is also well versed in usability principles.

Of note, Mr. Sánchez simultaneously led both the Wyoming and Tennessee healthcare system conversions working with clients virtually and onsite at their facilities during his time at Northrop Grumman. Each of these projects presented unique challenges because of their constantly changing requirements. Mr. Sánchez and his team successfully navigated and fulfilled all client needs.

In addition, Mr. Sánchez completed a challenging 6-month consultancy in Sri Lanka as a Content Development Specialist. He was involved in the face-to-face training of more than 200 teachers and professional curriculum developers regarding how to successfully integrate computer-assisted learning into the secondary school curriculum. In addition, he designed and developed many instructional manuals, job aids, and learning management system courses.

Mr. Ethan S. Sanders is a Senior Fellow in ICF’s Organizational Research, Learning, and Performance Division. In this role he serves as a thought-leader in the practice of Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, and Human Performance Improvement. He has provided consulting services to clients in the public, non-profit, military, and private sectors for over 20 years. Prior to joining ICF Mr. Sanders was president and CEO of Sundial Learning Systems and Director of Organizational Development for the US Navy’s Human Performance Center. Prior to these positions, Mr. Sanders was manager of instructional design for the Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD). While at ATD, he led the research and writing of two major competency studies, and redesigned several of ATD’s courses. Before joining ATD, he has a senior instructional designer of management development courses in the banking industry and a training manager in the transportation industry. He is the co-author of Handbook for Workplace Learning, Models for Learning Technologies, Models for Workplace Learning and Performance, Performance Intervention Maps: 36 Strategies for Solving Your Organization’s Problems, HPI Essential, ASTD Distance Learning Yearbook, and the ATD course “Human Performance Improvement in the Workplace.” Mr. Sanders teaches several of ASTD’s courses offered through public and corporate seminars, and is an Associate Professor for the University of Maryland. He holds a master’s degree in applied behavior science from Johns Hopkins University.

Nelson R.
