To help you track and apply your learning to future endeavors, all ATD education programs provide a form of validation and continuing education credit value. This helps you plan for and get approval for your professional development—and enables you to verify and validate your hard-earned accomplishment.
Certificates
A professional education certificate from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) is highly-regarded in the talent industry and beyond. Upon successful completion of any of our certificate courses, you’ll be awarded this important documentation confirming program name, course completion date, issuing organization, and credit information.
ATD certificate and master programs participants are also awarded digital badges upon successful completion of course requirements.
Letter of Completion
Receive an official letter of completion when you finish your ATD course to serve as a record of your participation.
Program Certificate
Earn a certificate of completion when you meet the requirements of an ATD Certificate Program. A great way to verify participation and earned credits.
Designation Certificate
Complete an ATD Master Program and receive a designation certificate—earning the title "ATD Master."
How We Measure Learning
You invest in your professional development and you need to make it count. Every ATD program provides a measure of your learning effort so that you can track, show, and share your commitment to lifelong learning.
Learning Hours
The total number of hours spent learning in the course. Learning hours can be comprised of classroom, virtual, or self-paced activities.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Awarded by training organizations to demonstrate completion of a course. One CEU is equivalent to ten contact hours of instruction.
Professional Development Hours (PDHs)
PDHs demonstrate the amount of learning time a participant spent in a course. One PDH is equivalent to one contact hour of instruction.

Preapproval means you can upskill with our programs and get the professional development hours you need to earn or maintain your credentials.
