International Conference & Exposition Proposal Content Requirements
Please review the following information before submitting your proposal.

Your proposal will include multiple tasks, organized into four key sections. We recommend using our proposal worksheet to draft your responses before entering them into the system.

Proposal Overview and Background
In this part of the proposal, you will introduce yourself and your proposal. What you will do:
Provide a title (you can go back and edit this later) (Tips for Writing a Great Title (see here))
Select a proposal type (see list here)
Identify your speaker type, (see here)
Select a Track and Area of Focus (see list here)
Identify the Knowledge Level needed (see list here)
Optionally select an Talent Development Capability Model (see list here) that this proposal aligns to your proposal.
Select a Target Audience (see list here)
Provide an overview of the proposal topic for the review committee, your reasons for proposing it, your expertise, and the core point of the proposal.
Share the history of the proposed presentation, if it was presented at any other conference, whether it can be done in a hybrid format, and whether it offers a global perspective on the topic.
Add any additional speakers
Proposed Session Design
In this section, your tasks will focus on the design of the session and the intended impact of the session for attendees. You will:
Write a short session description for the program and for attendees.
Provide a session agenda or outline
Identify the attendee centered challenges or questions this session is designed to help solve and the key perspective the attendees will leave with.
Provide 1-3 attendee centered learning outcomes for the session. How to Write Effective Learning Outcomes (see here)
Supporting Proposal Materials
In this section, you will include materials that will support your submission.
Example PowerPoint slides - (PowerPoint, PDF, Keynote) 4-6 slides max. These slides should demonstrate your approach to visual design for presentations.
Presentation Example - (Video file upload or URL) All new ATD speakers are required to submit a video presentation. All speakers may submit a video presentation.

Policies and Finalize Submission
In this section, you will review our speaker and conference policies and submit your proposal.
Pro-Tip: When you are completing your proposal in the system, please make sure to save each task so that you can come back to the proposal and edit it prior to the submission deadline. Unsaved information will be lost. Use the save button at the bottom of the page after each task to make sure your information is not lost.
Honoraria, Travel Expenses & Complimentary Registration
ATD is a nonprofit educational association with a responsibility to its members to carefully manage its resources. Delivering an education session is voluntary and unpaid. The speaker pays for their own travel and living expenses. ATD provides one complimentary full conference registration per speaker.
