Thursday, April 1, 2021

Digital communication usage is the norm now. And often, it's important to be able to record your virtual meetings or training session. That's where Loom (loom.com) can help.

This easy-to-use, flexible screen-recording app facilitates asynchronous communication and provides users with three recording options: webcam only, screen only, and web and screen at the same time. The app has myriad uses for training professionals. For example, they can record a training session and then share it anytime employees have questions on that topic.

Loom provides users with a link to the recorded videos that they can share on various platforms, from email to social media. The program also has useful organization and editing features that enable users to manage their recorded videos.

The starter version is free, and users can create as many as 100 videos at up to five minutes each. For a monthly fee, users can upgrade to a business account and create unlimited videos with no maximum length as well as have access to advanced analytics. Eligible teachers and students, however, can get free lifetime access to premium account features at no cost.
