Cool Tool: ThriveMap

Friday, October 4, 2019

ThriveMap is a software platform that predicts team fit by measuring how people work. The platform helps solve the problem of hiring people who don't fit in with how a team likes to work, thereby reducing new-hire failures and increasing team alignment.

To get started, companies must develop a hiring blueprint by surveying their existing workforce. Then they can use this blueprint to predict the fit of any candidate looking to join the team. Once users input basic qualitative data on a candidate, they can create a map that will reveal the candidate's top characteristics (in list form and via a spider chart), a team harmony score, and a thorough breakdown of the individual's most pertinent strengths and weaknesses. Companies can also compare those metrics with other candidates and use the same technique to evaluate and compare existing teams.

Pricing starts at $15, although a free trial is available. If you don't want to pay for ThriveMap, it also has some free resources, such as a cost of bad hires calculator. By entering your company's current employee head count, industry, head count growth, and staff turnover, the tool can provide a fairly extensive breakdown of the financial ramifications of failed hires.
