A growing body of research supports games as superior to traditional lecture-based approaches in helping people learn and retain content—as long as those games are well-designed and well-implemented. In addition to surpassing the efficacy of lecture-based approaches, games offer compelling ways to help people with strategy, resource allocation, and innovative thinking. They can help people understand alternate points of view. Games
