Jay Cross: Internet Time Blog

Monday, April 9, 2012

Jay Cross is widely known as a pioneer in informal learning and expert in cognitive science, business administration, how people learn, social computing, and psychology and motivation. On his online space, Internet Time Blog, Cross regularly posts information about the latest trends and hot topics in the workplace learning and performance field based on his global travel and diverse professional experiences. He maintains a detailed record of his prior and ongoing research, providing copious links to other industry experts and authoritative content, and charging readers to: "Please, please, please, steal pointers you find here to help others make the world a better place."

Additionally, on Learnstream—a division of Internet Time Blog—Cross shares insights for the purpose of reflection and to boost collaborative brainpower, often linking to relevant stories from other media sources. Recent posts on Learnstream include stories about adult education and the social enterprise, and even an account—complete with photos—of Cross's culinary journey through southern France.

Cross's newest site, www.jaycross.com, launched earlier this year and supplements the blog with presentations, pointers, essays, articles, video, and a free book—Ecologies for Learning.
