Leadership Lessons From the Mountains

As an executive coach and leadership development facilitator, I have led several leadership development programs for senior leaders. But after organizing 75 hikes in Canada and the US as well as climbing more than 229,000 feet in less than one year, I realized that nature could be the best teacher of leadership. Every time I organized a hike, it occurred to me that I was bolstering leadership skills that were not just effective in the mountains but also in my professional life.
