Managing Challenging Classroom Behaviors

To deal with difficult participants, you first need to understand the reasons for their behavior.

Almost everyone who has ever led a training program has met some form of challenging behavior from participants. Whether subtle or uncomfortably obvious, these behaviors undermine the trainer's effectiveness, disrupt other participants' learning, affect classroom morale, and ultimately prevent the class from achieving the learning objectives.
