For many talent development professionals, evaluating learning means finding a delicate balance. Showing that a training program satisfied its participants or helped them pass an assessment is great, but it doesn't necessarily show business leaders how learning contributes to organizational success. But if you measure results rigorously enough to demonstrate business impact and return on investment (ROI), you might quickly find yourself spending more time measuring outcomes than creating them.
