According to Women in the Workplace, a 2015 study by McKinsey & Company and LeanIn.org, women are still underrepresented at every level in the corporate pipeline. The breakdown of women and men is nearly equal in entry-level positions—45 percent women and 55 percent men. But the number of women dwindles steadily as employees rise through the ranks, and when they reach the C-suite, just 17 percent of leaders are women.
