We live in a meeting-driven culture: The average middle manager or above spends at least 10 hours in meetings per week. At a hypothetical midsized company with 40 leaders who earn an average of $100 per hour, spending this much time in appointments could cost about $2 million per year. Now imagine each of those meetings includes, on average, seven other people whose time also costs money. It wouldn't be difficult for the cost of meetings at this organization
