Overcommunication Causes Stress for Teleworkers

A new study finds that excessive communication can make teleworkers feel stressed and less attached to the organization.

According to WorldatWork, nearly 20 percent of the U.S. working adult population teleworked regularly in 2010, and teleworking frequency also is increasing. Yet despite its growing prevalence, common assumptions about telework may hinder its widespread adoption.
