Welcome to TD magazine's inaugural Best Practices issue. This special edition highlights the award-winning practices of companies from around the world, with workforces of various sizes and industries that cover the spectrum of work. The source of these best practices are winners of the Association for Talent Development's BEST Award and Excellence in Practice Award.

Each year, ATD honors organizations in recognition of their exceptional talent development efforts. To earn the distinction, the companies have demonstrated business impact with measurable, sustained results.

In total, more than 100 companies received an ATD award this year—either for enterprise-wide talent development efforts or successful individual talent development initiatives. Some companies even earned one of each award or had multiple programs recognized for excellence.

Given the breadth of practices, programs, and strategies these companies have developed and implemented, it only makes sense to compile their award-winning work and share their successes with you. After all, ATD's vision is to create a world that works better. And one way to achieve that is to highlight what's working in the industry.
