When Boredom Affects the Bottom Line

According to the Udemy report Battling Boredom Blues: How to Engage Today's Workers, 43 percent of U.S. employees are bored at work, and more than half of those bored workers feel that way for more than half of their workweek.

For a company, boredom can be problematic—the study found that bored workers are two times more likely to leave than their engaged colleagues. And actively disengaged employees cost their employers around $500 billion a year.
