Winning Practices Drive Impact and Demonstrate Long-Term Results

Monday, July 20, 2020

Excellence in Practice Award winners are breaking boundaries.

Although hundreds of companies apply for the Association for Talent Development's Excellence in Practice Awards, only a fraction receive the honor. EIP Awards go to programs that break boundaries and continue to progress the field of talent development. This awards program recognizes internal talent development practices and initiatives that organizations use to enhance and develop their employees' knowledge, skills, and capabilities.

Specifically, ATD presents EIP Awards to practices that have demonstrated clear and measurable results of achieving organizational goals, meet a demonstrated need, have appropriate design values, and are clearly aligned with other performance improvement initiatives. In addition, these practices have long-term, sustained results.

The 2019-2020 award-winning companies have both small and large workforces and hail from North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. And their initiatives' outcomes range from safety, cost savings, and process improvements to employee engagement, talent mobility, customer satisfaction, and increased sales—and much more in between.

Because the practices and solutions cover the scope of talent development—for example, career development, change management, onboarding, and leadership development—professionals in the field can glean countless best practices from these award winners.
