As a trainer, you can do more for your trainees and their managers. According to Barbara Carnes, of Carnes and Associates, you can accomplish more by replacing traditional instructional objectives with "sticky objectives." Basically, instead of using passive phrases to explain what learners will get from your class, you should tell participants how the knowledge they gain can be used on the job.
