As managers at all levels of government deliberate and plan their budgets with increasingly reduced resources for the foreseeable future, we continue to hear that government needs to "do more with less." While we at the Federal Managers Association (FMA) understand the sentiment—it was the theme of our national convention just two years ago—we are past that phase. People need to alter their expectations of what is achievable in this new reality.
