By the time you read this I will be the proud owner of a new eardrum. It’s amazing to me how far science and medicine have come. What’s even more remarkable is how much we humans will compensate rather than admit we have a problem and find a permanent solution. My own hesitation to admit weakness is wrought by a number of factors and events in my life. I also know I am not alone.
