Designing Effective Diversity Programs

If results of your diversity interventions are not as expected, the conclusion need not be that diversity training doesn’t work. An alternative explanation may be that there is a flaw in the program’s design.  Effective diversity processes often are: 

  • Long-term: diversity relations are seldom affected by a single workshop, no matter how well received it is. Reinforcement is key to success.

  • Customized to participants’ needs: specific community needs and participant
