The practice of organizational development (OD) increasingly relies on the use of the Internet to create successful interventions. It has three confirmed advantages: saving money (economy of infrastructure), flexibility in time and space, and the ability to operate over long distances and reach widely scattered groups. Still, there are challenges, such as the constant need for up-to-date data. Organizations also have to consider issues such as the digital divide, skill levels and previous training of employees, and computer and system vulnerabilities and other security issues. The Internet can be useful in the four types of OD interventions.
