ASTD has a new chair, chair-elect, and four new members on its 2011 board of directors. Sam Herring begins his term as chair of the board having served as director and chair-elect. Chris Pirie has been named 2011 chair-elect of the board by the ASTD selection committee. The committee also selected Laurance Alvarado, Anne Schwartz, and Mary Slaughter for three-year terms, and the National Advisors for Chapters selected Christie Ward as its chair, and she will serve on the ASTD board for a two year term, 2011-2012.
