Consider for a moment that we in training and development have jobs mainly because organizations call for new skill acquisition or change. Sometimes, employees find this threatening, and when people feel threatened, they can exhibit all sorts of difficult behaviors—silence, apathy, passive aggression, cynicism, and sometimes outright protest.
