The Three Cs of Learning

Don’t lose sight of what’s most important: connection, capability, and confirmation.

Over the past 10 years, we have made learning and development more complicated and, I believe, lost sight of the reason we do what we do. From the outside, L&D is seen differently depending upon the situation. It might be seen as a large group that sits on the fifth floor of your building that you call when you need some training. It might be seen as those dudes that handle matters a team leader does not want to touch. L&D staff are the people you meet on Day 1 for your onboarding training. But, whatever the case, L&D is often viewed as the panacea of key organizational issues.
