While mission and vision statements guide organizations toward their goals, value statements define the means at which organizations achieve their missions. Value-based organizations have structures and processes built around the values that are endorsed by the top management and that create a value-based culture. Organizations have built their brands around values and have earned the respect and goodwill of stakeholders by creating a values-based culture.
