Understanding Agile Instructional Design

Although the idea of AGILE has its roots in information technology, it has been co-opted by many other disciplines, including instructional design. Many experts attribute Conrad Gottfredson with bringing AGILE instructional design to the training field. According to Gottfredson, AGILE offers an iterative approach to design and development. In his adaptation, AGILE ISD is built on similar values and represents five core moments of learning design needs: 

  1. Align
  2. Get Set
  3. Iterate and Imple
