On the second day at my first ever full-time training gig, my boss asked me to locate a Thai translator. To my great surprise, this facility often hosted and trained visitors from a variety of countries, and in the next few weeks we would be hosting a new group from our sister plant in Thailand. This would not be the last time I’d field such a request. By now, most of us in manufacturing have worked with facilities from the other side of the country or the other side of the world. It really doesn’t matter which, because hospitality is the same no matter what. It’s all about making your visitors comfortable so they can make the most of their visit. Here are a few of the things I have learned.
