The tennis champion and entrepreneur will be the closing keynote at the Association for Talent Development’s 2024 International Conference & EXPO.
(Alexandria, VA) November 28, 2023—Venus Williams, tennis champion and serial entrepreneur, will deliver the closing keynote at the Association for Talent Development’s 2024 International Conference & EXPO in New Orleans, Louisiana, on May 22, 2024.
Williams has accumulated seven Grand Slam single titles and four Olympic gold medals. Along with her illustrious tennis career, she is a steadfast advocate for equality. In 2007, her unwavering fight led Wimbledon to award women players the same pay as their male counterparts, and her current Privilege Tax Initiative with her lifestyle brand EleVen by Venus Williams is dedicated to closing the gender wage gap, furthering her fight for equity across industries.
Williams has parlayed her fine-tuned business acumen with her healthy competitive spirit into two successful design ventures, and multiple businesses across industries. She founded V Starr, a full-service commercial and residential design firm, her fashion-forward lifestyle brand, EleVen by Venus Williams, and plant-based protein company, Happy Viking. Williams also holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University East and an Associate of Science in Fashion Design from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.
