ATD’s 2019 Global Trends in Talent Development report examines how TD practices differ around the world. Based on a global survey of talent development professionals, the report provides insights and key metrics on four distinct regions: Asia-Pacific; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa; North America; and Latin America. TD professionals can use this information to benchmark their organization’s practices against those of their peers. Metrics covered include talent development budgets, learning hours, and delivery methods.

The report also explores the top challenges and content areas for each region, as well as their use of tools and technologies. Many regions share the same top challenges and content areas, but the key differences that emerge in areas such as economic outlook and access to development resources for TD staff are indicative of the unique needs and priorities for each region.
