Emerging technologies continue to play an increasingly vital role in organizational learning. While the benefits of emerging technologies are broad and unprecedented, it is nearly impossible to keep pace with the rapid evolution of these tools. Even as todays technology experts discuss artificial intelligence, immersive virtual worlds, and the future of mobile devices, many organizations are still wrestling with how best to leverage online learning. This Study shows that high-performing organizations with effective learning functions are clearly more open to embracing emerging technologies. Those organizations that have embraced Web 2.0 in learning are reaping the benefits. The Study also demonstrates that Web 3.0 technologies such as simulations, virtual worlds, and smart search hold tremendous potential for the future of organizational learning.
