Business and learning leaders alike expect great things from leaders-as-teachers (LAT) programs: Enhanced professional development opportunities for leaders who teach, deeper levels of engagement for employee learners, and support for an organizational culture that thrives on learning, to name just a few. In Leaders as Teachers , the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and the Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp) partnered to identify and explore what high-performance organizations are doing to derive the greatest benefits from LAT programs. In addition, learning leaders from public, private, and non-profit sectors shared their real-world approaches and perspectives on the practices that produce results when organizations ask their leaders to serve as teachers.
