Carla Mathis is a senior member of the learning experience instructional design team responsible for enterprise-wide learning initiatives and practical training support at American Airlines. She graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo and immediately began her career as an elementary education teacher. After 10 years, Mathis transitioned to adult education, where she gained advanced skills in facilitation, management, and instructional design.
She has done extensive research regarding inclusion, diversity, and accessibility related to design, development, and the delivery of engaging content in traditional, web-based, and virtual training environments.
