Catherine Tencza
ABOUT ME

Catherine Tencza, MS, has been a performance consultant for over 20 years. She works with organizations to determine what job performers should be able to do and how they can do it better. Then, she manages a team of designers, developers, experts, and others to create training and other interventions that improve performance. As owner of Tencza Designs, Cathy has worked on projects both large and small. Each client is unique and treasured.

Cathy and her team have developed hundreds of training programs, facilitated thousands of meetings, and provided training for hundreds of thousands of learners. Her diverse experiences include:

  • A variety of industries, including transportation and logistics, public health, human services, corrections/juvenile justice, food services, basic adult education, financial services, telecommunications, health care, pharmaceuticals, IT, and utilities.
  • Personal expertise, including front-end analysis, needs assessment, nominal group techniques, brainstorming/creativity exercises, job/task analysis, learning strategy, macro- and micro-design and development, and focus groups.
  • Many important content areas, including customer service, interpersonal skills, technical skills, management/leadership, supervision, new employee orientation, sales, systems, engineering, and administrative skills.
  • A variety of delivery modes and technologies, including instructor-led training, elearning, virtual instruction, multi-media, and blended approaches.

Based in the Atlanta area, Cathy also is very active in local organizations, serving on the boards of a variety of professional and community organizations. She received her BS in Education from the University of Illinois and her MS in Instructional Systems from Florida State University.

Fun stuff: Tennis (poor skills, great attitude!), hiking (especially the Appalachian Trail), podcasts, Kindle, craft cocktails, and bread (not baking, just eating)
