Donna Oti
ABOUT ME

Donna Oti has worked as a journalist, communication professor, student media adviser, and organizational development consultant.  She spent ten years in academia reaching the rank of associate professor in Communication Studies before embarking on a career in Strategic Communication, Leadership, Organizational Development and Talent Management. 

 

After spending a year as a Fulbright Visiting Professor in the Department of Communication and Theater Arts at the University of Jos, Nigeria, Donna continued as a consultant for the university working on several interventions including writing the History of Communication Technology for the University, advising the university’s student media, and conceptualizing an eLearning Fellowship program.   

 

Passionate about working with diverse cultures, Donna has worked in Japan, South Korea, Nigeria, Guyana, St. Lucia and Thailand.  She received a bachelor of science in Technical Communication from Tennessee Technological University, a master of arts in Public Communication from the American University, and a doctorate in Human Communication Studies from Howard University.  Donna consults with organizations on strategic communication and organizational development, and she has received top paper awards from The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication and the Eastern Communication Association for work on Media Studies, Communication Campaigns, and Diversity.
