One of America's leaders in language translation and business, Fred Meinberg is a translation-management expert and an all-around nice guy. His 25 years of language-industry experience have created a world-class company, Techworld Language Solutions.
By age 23, Meinberg had established his first company, only to sell it by age 30. Using the wisdom he gained, he acquired Techworld in 1990 and assembled a team of high-energy, customer-focused people.
Meinberg gradually expanded the company’s service offerings to provide language translation, language training, interpretation, cultural awareness workshops, and simulations and assessments. Twenty-four years later, Techworld has grown from its original home at a card table in Meinberg’s living room to a flourishing concern with more than 400 team members. Techworld has been certified as a Right Workplace® (“a healthy culture where innovation thrives”) in Michigan.
Though Meinberg runs a multimillion-dollar company with an internationally recognized brand, he defines success by the number of language barriers that have been overcome through his customer-focused strategy. He offers his knowledge and leadership through a variety of processes and procedures, is actively involved in Techworld’s day-to-day operations, and tirelessly devotes his time to motivate and coach his team to achieve higher levels of excellence. He created The Techworld Way to formalize the methodology that has been such a success at making his company special.
He and his dedicated team have partnered with global leaders such as Ford Motor Company, Boeing, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, NASA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the United States Air Force, the National Geospatial Agency, SAP, and Marriott International.
Meinberg gives back to the community through leadership positions with the Association for Talent Development (formerly the American Society for Training and Development), the American Translators Association, Marketing & Sales Executives of Detroit, the International Society for Performance Improvement, Optimists International, Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Michigan, the Royal Oak Foundation for Public Education, and numerous car clubs/events.
Meinberg is married and has three adult children who make it all worthwhile.
