As vice president of professional development for HIMSS, based in Chicago, IL, US, JoAnn W. Klinedinst defines strategies that attribute to the lifelong learning, continuing engagement, and professional development for 120,000+ health information and technology professionals globally.  A lifelong learner, Ms. Klinedinst holds a Masters in Adult Education from The Pennsylvania State University as well as industry certifications for CPHIMS, DES, CPTD, and PMP.  She is Board Certified in healthcare management by the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is a Life Fellow of HIMSS (LFHIMSS).  She serves as an Instructor, Information Technology in the Masters of Healthcare Informatics program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  Ms. Klinedinst volunteers her time and serves on various boards nationally that promote the transformation of healthcare information and technology initiatives.
